What we want to see:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law plus a Master’s degree (LL.M. or equivalent) at minimum.
3–5 years of professional legal experience, preferably as in-house counsel in the IT or game development industry.
- Hands-on experience drafting a wide range of contracts.
- Basic knowledge of IP law.
- Excellent contract drafting skills in both Russian and English — must.
- Ability to work with technical teams (security, anti-cheat, development) and translate technical findings into legal action.
- Strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential matters.
What you will be doing:
- Contracts: Draft and negotiate publishing, licensing, vendor, and partnership agreements, NDAs, contractor agreements, marketing deals, and Terms of Service/EULAs.
- IP management: Review game content and creatives; protect trademarks, copyrights, patents, and trade secrets; handle IP filings, renewals, and disputes (incl. DMCA) across jurisdictions.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and international law, including advertising and consumer protection regulations; advise on legal risks in game development and publishing; maintain player-facing policies (community guidelines, etc.).
- Office support: Assist with day-to-day documentation for overseas offices (leases, procurement, utilities, etc.).
- Disputes: Liaise with external counsel on complex matters; handle player complaints with the community manager.
- Other: Support the Head of Legal; train employees on IP, compliance, and confidentiality.
